Description
This is a BRAND NEW GE Genteq Carrier/Bryant/Payne Condenser Fan Motor. It is a direct replacement for the old part Carrier/Bryant/Payne part numbers listed below. It's 1/4 HP, 208-230v, 1100 RPM. The motor is 5 5/8" in diameter (Frame 48Y). The shaft extends 1.5" out of the motor and the motor has three wires.
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.
