This is a new Aftermarket Gas Furnace HSI (Hot Surface Ignitor) for Coleman Evcon Furnaces. It is designed to replace Coleman Evcon part # 025-41021-000 (also S1-02541021000) as well as Model 1061. Function:
The purpose of an ignitor is to ignite the gas after the gas valve opens up. It most cases, the ignitor turns off after ignition has occurred.
