This is a BRAND NEW Fasco Inducer Motor / Exhaust Motor. It is designed to replace old Trane/American Standard/Fasco part #s 7021-8591 70218591 7021-11725 702111725 & A193. The motor assembly is rated at 208/240 Volt 3480 RPM. Inducer comes with a new gaket. Thanks for looking and good luck!
Function:
An inducer motor is designed to expel the exhaust gas from the furnace. Older inefficient furnaces allowed the flue gas to escape the unit with virtually no resistance. Newer high efficient furnace heat exchangers are so restrictive that the flue gases cannot exit the furnace though natural draft. Therefore, the inducer is required to pull the flue gases through the heat exchanger. The inducer motor is usually the first thing that starts up when your furnace calls for heat.
