Description

This is a BRAND NEW Furnace Inducer Motor / Exhaust Motor.  This Fasco product is made for Carrier/Bryant/Payne furnaces.  The motor is 115 volt, 3000 RPM.  Thanks for looking and good luck!
Function:
An inducer motor is designed to expel the exhaust gas from the furnace. Older inefficient furnaces allowed the flue gas to escape the unit with virtually no resistance. Newer high efficient furnace heat exchangers are so restrictive that the flue gases cannot exit the furnace though €œnatural draft€. Therefore, the inducer is required to pull the flue gases through the heat exchanger. The inducer motor is usually the first thing that starts up when your furnace calls for heat.

I'm so glad I found you guys online!!

I'm a very handy guy, and even had some tech school training years ago for both Automotive, as well as in A/C & refrigeration. I also understand the workings of a furnace. Last week, late on Wednesday night, in the middle of a cold snap, the inducer fan in our furnace decided to seize up and burn out! Of course, the furnace was now inoperable. It was making some pretty loud noises right before it gave up the ghost. At first, I called a local, reputable HVAC contractor who offered 24/7 service. However, they couldn't make it out to us until 8am the following morning. The service tech came on-time, charged us $49 for the service call, (fair enough, and lower priced than most others in our area), and told us he couldn't get the part until the following Monday! Then, he gave us a quote of $1,380!! I expected maybe $700 or $800? Nope! So, I politely declined and sent him on his merry way, along with his $49. (Hey, ya win some, ya lose some! Such is life.) I then proceeded to scour the internet for an OEM replacement inducer fan at a decent price, and with a place that offered overnight shipping. Even on Amazon, it would've taken between 3 to 7 business days for any of the sellers selling the OEM unit. So, after many strikes, I suddenly stumbled upon North America HVAC! I'm so glad I did!! Yes, there's a fee for overnight shipping, but they offered it as an option, and the price of the OEM unit was very, very reasonable, and I was still literally saving $1,000 by going this route and installing it myself! I am super happy to report, that after 2 nights of using space heaters, all went extremely easy & well, and we now have heat again! And, the furnace is nice and quiet once again, too. Thank you soooo much, North America HVAC!!! I've bookmarked your site for future needs! You guys ROCK!!!
