This is a BRAND NEW OEM Aprilaire Humidifier In Line Strainer. The In-Line Strainer is a small device designed to keep debris from entering the solenoid valve and should be checked annually for the build-up of minerals and grit. It should be replaced annually for optimum performance. Be sure to clean or replace your water orifice (Aprilaire part # AP-4007 AP-4021 AP-4231 or AP-4232) when you replace the In Line Strainer.
