This is a BRAND NEW Trane/American Standard Gas Furnace Hot Surface Ignitor. The Trane part # is IGN00145 and it replaces all the old part #s listed below. This new version is a much higher quality ignitor with a much longer lifespan. It comes with a mounting bracket to adapt it into older mounting styles. Good luck!
Function:
The purpose of an ignitor is to ignite the gas after the gas valve opens up. It most cases, the ignitor turns off after ignition has occurred.
