I am a 44 year old female with no formal mechanical
Training or electrical. However, this is not the first time I've repaired our old rooftop furnace. I received this gas valve within about 4 days of ordering. It was easy to convert from natural gas to propane, just switching out the spring etc. a friend of mine told me how to adjust the pressure. It came with Wire adapters that I could use to adapt my old wires to make make connectors -in order to plug into the new female harness . I couldn't use these bc they were made for one wire each (two total) but my existing system had a total of four wires and there was no way to get two wires into the little space. Hookup was easy. The toughest part was breaking apart the old piping. I literally installed this in 30 mins. It would have been about 5 minutes if I didn't have piping that was old and stuck together. My furnace works and I'm happy. It would get 5 stars, but it hasn't been hooked up long enough to get that rating from me.
