This is a Brand New Carrier/Bryant/Payne Furnace In-shot Burner. The Carrier/Bryant/Payne part # is 50DK407030 (replaces all the old Part #s listed below). This burner is for the end burners- the far left and far right burners not the center. This burner has a "crossover" on only one side so that gas doesnt leak out the edges. For the center burners search 50DK407029. The model that you have determines the number of burners you have (typically between 3 and 6). Thanks for looking and good luck!
Function:
Burners are designed to mix the correct amount of air and gas for proper and clean combustion. The gas is regulated at the gas valve and many burners have air adjustments on them. Newer style burner called “in-shot” burners do not have air adjustments.
