Description
This is a Brand New OEM Upgraded Source1 Furnace Blower Motor. Source1 is the OEM source for all parts used in York, Coleman, Evcon, and Luxaire HVAC equipment. The motor is 3 Speed, 1/2 HP, 208-230v, 1090 RPM, and is 5 5/8" in diameter (Frame 48Y). The shaft extends 3.50" out of the motor. The shaft extends 2.5" out of the motor. The motor you are purchasing is brand new. When installing a new motor the motor manufactures highly recommend that you install a new capacitor at the same time. Old capacitors can become weak over time and have a negative effect on the new motor. We have the capacitor that goes with this motor in our store. You can locate it using part # CAP011003O. It is an OEM replacement for the old part numbers listed below.
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.
