This is a new ClimaTek Furnace Flame Sensor Rod. This flame sensor fits Goodman/Amana/Janitrol units. It fits MANY furnaces includes, but not limited to, Model #s that start with GMP GMPN GMPE GPD GSM GSMS GMPH ADS ADV AMH & AMS The flame sensor on the right has been replaced by the one on the left. It directly replaces the old part numbers listed below.
Function:
A flame sensor senses the furnace flame ensuring that ignition has occurred. It then monitors the flame until the furnace shut down. Should combustion be disrupted for any reason the sensor loses its signal and shuts the gas valve off.

    Works fine but is different from original part

    This replacement flame sensor is configured a little differently than the original sensor in my Goodman Janitrol furnace. The sensor rod is shorter, the electric connector is not bent at a right angle, and it is secured by one screw instead of two. Nevertheless, it fits OK and appears to work fine. NorthAmerican HVAC price was great and shipping was prompt. Will use them again.
