Description

This is a brand new Rheem/Ruud/Weather King/Corsaire Upgraded Furnace Transformer. Primary voltage is 120, secondary voltage is 24, and it is 40VA.
Function:
Transformers are devices used in electrical circuits to change the voltage of electricity flowing in the circuit. Transformers can be used either to increase the voltage (called "step up") or decrease the voltage ("step down"). Transformers found in furnaces are "step down" transformers and usually convert 120-240 volt to 24 volt.

    Works - But Block is Thicker

    Worked as intended, but the block is 1/4" thicker than the OEM part, so I had to get creative, using cotter pins to hold it in place until I could find replacement hardware at the local hardware store. Would be nice if mounting hardware was sent as part of the package, or a note that the 46-24154-03 mounting hardware would not work.

    Rheem furnace transformer

    Worked great replacing the old one. The only problem was finding 2"long #6 screws to mount it, since it is thicker than the original.

    Works great. The updated version had a fuse added to it which is even better.

    Basler-substitute transformer

    The unit is nearly the same as the original Basler transformer. In some ways it is better since it came equipped with an in-line fuse. Its width and length are identical but it is 3/8 inch thicker, so the original mounting screws were too short.
