Description
This is a BRAND NEW OEM Trane/American Standard 2-Speed Furnace Inducer Motor / Exhaust Motor. The Trane part # is BLW01322. The motor assembly has 3 wires going into a plastic plug plus a green grounding wire. The inducer also comes with a new gasket. Replaces all the old part #s listed below. (The picture on the left shows the new version of the motor while the picture on the right shows an older version).  Thanks for looking and good luck!
Function:
An inducer motor is designed to expel the exhaust gas from the furnace. Older inefficient furnaces allowed the flue gas to escape the unit with virtually no resistance. Newer high efficient furnace heat exchangers are so restrictive that the flue gases cannot exit the furnace though “natural draft”. Therefore, the inducer is required to pull the flue gases through the heat exchanger. The inducer motor is usually the first thing that starts up when your furnace calls for heat.
