This is an Armstrong Furnace Flame Sensor! Part # is R38492B001 (also 38492B001). This flame sensor fits MANY furnaces!
Function:
A flame sensor senses the furnace flame ensuring that ignition has occurred. It then monitors the flame until the furnace shut down. Should combustion be disrupted for any reason the sensor loses its signal and shuts the gas valve off.
