This is a BRAND NEW ClimaTek Start Capacitor designed to directly replace Trane/American Standard part # CPT01881. The capacitor is round and rated at 216-240 uf/MFD and 330/360 volts. It is 4 3/8" tall and 2.5" in diameter.
Function:
A capacitor gives a motor a boost to get it up and running. Start capacitors help a motor/compressor get started, while run capacitors help a motor/compressor get started and run.
