This is a new Gas Furnace Flame Sensor Rod. It replaces the part numbers listed below.
Function:
A flame sensor senses the furnace flame ensuring that ignition has occurred. It then monitors the flame until the furnace shut down. Should combustion be disrupted for any reason the sensor loses its signal and shuts the gas valve off.
