Description
This is a BRAND NEW Universal GE EMERSON Air Conditioning Fan Motor. It's 1/5 HP 208-230 volts 1075 RPM. The GE part number is K55HXNTL-4884 (It is the direct replacement for the old 1/5 K55HXJKL-2918 Motor). The rotation is reversible to fit all applications The motor is 5 5/8" in diameter. It takes a 5 uf Capacitor rated at 370 volts. This motor mounts with screws in the side- not by mounting studs out the back of the motor.
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.
