Description

This is a Brand New Aftermarket Replacement 4-Speed Furnace Blower Motor. It is 1/2 HP, 115 Volt, 1075 RPM, reversible rotation and has three mounting ears welded to the body. The shaft is 1/2" by 6" long. It is designed to replace the GE Genteq part numbers listed below.
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.

    Not a perfect fit

    First, this motor runs like a dream. We just installed it this weekend and I have no complaints with the operation. The only issue is the motor is slightly larger than the Genteq 5KCP39NGV995AS it replaces and the mounting brackets are too close to the shaft. The motor sticks out and only clears the cabinet by 1/4 inch. The original motor is completely inset within the squirrel cage because the brackets are on the back portion of the motor.

    Great Replacement for 5kcp39ngv995as Fan Motor

    Bought this as a drop in replacement for my burned out 5kcp39ngv995as motor. So far working great. It also has a reversible 2 prong connector to allow you to select the motor direction. FYI it specifies a 10MFD run capacitor which was not included and was not the value required of the motor it replaced.
