This is a Brand New OEM Amrad Run Capacitor. It is rated at 70 + 10 uf/MFD and 370/440 Volt. It is an upgraded OEM replacement for part # USA2220BA. Amrad is one of the only USA made capacitors. Thanks for looking and good luck! This capacitor may or may not come with an additional Orange "CPT" terminal on top (as shown in photo #2). This Orange CPT terminal is only used if a Hard start device has been installed in your unit. If you receive the version with a new terminal and do not have a hardstart capacitor, you may disregard it.
Function:
A capacitor gives a motor a boost to get it up and running. Start capacitors help a motor/compressor get started, while run capacitors help a motor/compressor get started and run.

    I have not installed the capacitor I bought. I purchased it to have in case my air conditioning goes south. What I want to make clear here is your customer service. Shortly after I ordered the capacitor I was notified that the one I ordered was not in stock. Your customer service department was good enough to offer me a compatible product which I chose not to. I wanted this specific capacitor. Anyway, a big thank you to your customer service for keeping me up to speed. We can buy capacitors from Amazon but we all know they are trash made elsewhere. Yes, I may have paid more but you also get what you pay for. I appreciate your customer service staff.
