Description
This is a BRAND NEW GE Carrier/Bryant/Payne Double Shafted 3-Speed BLOWER MOTOR. It Is rated at 1/8 HP, 208-230v, 1050 RPM. The motor is 5 5/8" in diameter (Frame 48Y). This motor has three large mounting ears riveted to it. The photo shown is a stock photo. However, the motor you will receive is the OEM upgrade.
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.
