This is a BRAND NEW OEM Intertherm/Nordyne/Miller/Tappan/Gibson/Frigidaire A-Coil TXV Valve. It is designed for R-22 freon and rated for 2.5-5 ton systems. The Intertherm Part # is MOR72DB0004 (also 011237-07).
Function:
The thermostatic expansion valve controls one thing only: the rate of flow of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator. This is achieved by monitoring temperature and pressure in the refrigerant system.
