Description

This is a brand new Rheem/Ruud/Weather King/Corsaire Upgraded ECM Condenser Fan Motor. It is rated at 1/5 HP, 208-230 volt, and has a 48Y frame. If the shaft is facing up (as seen in the picture) rotation is clockwise.
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.

    The only reason this is receiving 3 stars and not higher is the general design of ECMs is overly sensitive and is the reason for early failure. I have two A/Cs and have now had to replace four of these motors. Cannot use a different motor on the these condensers otherwise I would.
