This is a BRAND NEW OEM Rheem/Ruud/Weather King/Corsaire furnace Inducer Motor / Exhaust Motor. The Rheem/Ruud/Weather King/Corsaire Part # is 70-101087-82. The motor is 200-230 volt and 2800/3200 RPM. New gasket material comes on the inducer motor. Thanks for looking and good luck!
Function:
An inducer motor is designed to expel the exhaust gas from the furnace. Older inefficient furnaces allowed the flue gas to escape the unit with virtually no resistance. Newer high efficient furnace heat exchangers are so restrictive that the flue gases cannot exit the furnace though “natural draft”. Therefore, the inducer is required to pull the flue gases through the heat exchanger. The inducer motor is usually the first thing that starts up when your furnace calls for heat.
