Description
This is a Brand New OEM Upgraded Trane/American Standard Furnace Repaire Kit. The kit includes a new Inducer Motor, Control Board, Ignitor, and Wiring. Trane/American Standard does not sell the inducer motor or the control board seperately any longer, but only sells them as a kit.
Function:
An inducer motor is designed to expel the exhaust gas from the furnace. Older inefficient furnaces allowed the flue gas to escape the unit with virtually no resistance. Newer high efficient furnace heat exchangers are so restrictive that the flue gases cannot exit the furnace though “natural draft”. Therefore, the inducer is required to pull the flue gases through the heat exchanger. The inducer motor is usually the first thing that starts up when your furnace calls for heat.
