Description
This is a BRAND NEW GE Genteq ECM Furnace BLOWER MOTOR designed for Trane/American Standard Furnaces. It is rated at 3/4 HP and 120/240 volt. The motor is 5 5/8" in diameter (Frame 48Y). This updated design in the main photo above replaces the older style seen in the secondary photo. It replaces the old part number listed below.
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.
