This is a BRAND NEW OEM Trane/American Standard Gemini furnace Gas Valve Adapter Kit.The Trane/American Standard Part # KIT09419. This kit is used when purchasing a White Rodgers Gemini gas valve (36G Models) for a Trane/American Standard furnace. The Gemini gas valves are shorter in length and this adapter makes the gas valve the same approx length of the older 36E and 36F White Rodgers gas valves. It is also designed to adapt the original gas piping size into the new Gemini valve. The two wires in the kit are to extend the length of the gas valve wires if needed. Function:
The gas valve is a low voltage control (usually 24 VAC) that allow gas into the combustion chamber. It is also an adjustable regulator that insures proper gas pressure for combustion. They have a manual shut off.
