This is a quality aftermarket flat ignitor kit that is used on many brands and models of ovens, stoves, and ranges.
Function:
The purpose of an ignitor is to ignite the gas after the gas valve opens up. It most cases, the ignitor turns off after ignition has occurred.

    I purchased this heating element to solve an issue with our oven igniting. You could see the old old heating up, but would not light. The element was easy to replace. It took about 30 minutes and about a half dozen screws. now it works like new. Glad the part was available at a reasonable price.
