Description
This is a new Motor Start Capacitor. It is designed to replace old York/Coleman/Luxaire part #s 1497-086 & 1497-0861. This capacitor is rated at 88-108 MFD and 165 Volts (VAC) and is 2-3/4" tall and 1 3/8" in diameter.
Function:
A capacitor gives a motor a boost to get it up and running. Start capacitors help a motor/compressor get started, while run capacitors help a motor/compressor get started and run.
