This is a BRAND NEW Goodman/Janitrol/Amana Air Conditioning Fan Motor. It's 1/3 or 1/4 HP (depending on voltage) 380-460 volts 850 RPM. If the shaft is facing up rotation is Clock Wise! The Motor has three wires. The Goodman/Janitrol part number is B13400249 (Replaces all the old obsolete part #s listed below) and the Zhongshan Broad-Ocean # is Y7S623C84. It takes a 5 uf Capacitor rated at 370 volts. (This Motor is 5 5/8" Diameter (48Y Frame) as opposed to 5" diameter! (42Y Frame))
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.
